Silhouettes

Acrylic on Wood, Canvas and Popsicle Sticks

This is one of my favorite series to paint. I came up with this idea for my Senior Show in college. I painted on sixteen 4×4″ wood panels. My first paintings in this series were the wolf, giraffes, and seahorses. I wanted a variety of backgrounds and animals, so I tried to explore different colors and animals.

Here are some other silhouettes I have created. Some were for fun and some were gifts to friends.

If you know anything about me, you know that my favorite movie is Tangled. I love the song, “I See the Light” (I walked down the aisle to it) and the boat scene that goes with it.

Here are some paintings from my Senior Show. Most of the do not exist anymore, but they were fun to create.

The most exciting painting I have created with acrylics is \this couple in the rain. I painted it on popsicle sticks.
